For over 17 years, Wilkins Farm and Coal, has been reliable source for anthracite, pellets, stoves/stove parts, mulch, and more throughout the Finger Lakes, including Seneca, Schuyler, Ontario, Wayne, Cayuga, and Tompkins counties. It is owned and operated by Kevin Wilkins. Whether you are in the market for a new or used anthracite/pellet stove, landscaping products, anthracite, heating/wood pellets, a stove part, stove pipe, NEW wood and propane inserts/stoves; he along with his warm friendly staff will provide you with exceptional service and high quality products, not just seasonally, BUT all year round.

Tip of the Month
Before starting up your anthracite or pellet stove for the 2025-2026 heating season:
-If your stove wasn’t thoroughly cleaned at end of season when it was shut down, do so now.
-Vacuum out thoroughly even if it was done when it was shut down
-Make sure ash pans are free of all ash
-Check pipes even if cleaned at shut down, as birds or other debris can get in there and can cause draft issues
-Check glass again-high humidity can affect the glass over the summer
-Reconnect chimney if disconnected at shut down and check to make certain that condensation has not created any issues
-Start stove with fresh coal, not coal that has been sitting around

Wood Pellets 13,500,000 BTU/Ton (46% less than coal)
Oil 180 gallons = 1 Ton Anthracite
Propane 298 gallons = 1 Ton Anthracite
Natural Gas 26,080 cubic feet = 1 Ton Anthracite
Electric 7325 kilowatts = 1 Ton Anthracite
